Because of its size--30 rooms--the Inn at Union Square is what is known as a boutique hotel. It is also among the first to be a completely non-smoking establishment!
Beginning with the valet parking, special emphasis is placed upon personal service. From the moment they arrive, guests are made to feel favored. The Inn at Union Square is the only hotel in San Francisco that does NOT accept gratuities from its guests.
Most rooms are individually decorated in bright, cheerful colors, and feature new CD radios, down pillows and comforters, and fresh flowers. Polished shoes greet guests at their doors every morning, along with a newspaper. The penthouse has its own fireplace, whirlpool bath and sauna. Room service can deliver an a la carte breakfast to rooms upon request, or guests may be enjoy the complimentary continental breakfast provided in each lobby. Each lobby also has a wet bar. Enjoy complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres, a fire each evening in our cozy lobbies, and hot tea and cookies.
