The Fabulous Vailglo Lodge opened in 1973. The lodge is run like a private hotel. The hotel is locked every night when the front desk closes, and every guest is given a key to the front door. It is very much like a Swiss inn with exquisite appointments.
White ash paneling and custom-made white ash furniture dominate the decor of this contemporary resort. The lobby has accents of pink Brazilian Juparana granite on the tabletops and fireplace. Complimentary coffee, tea, and Danish cookies are served all day by the fire, welcoming those who have just arrived or just returned from the slopes. The top floor of the hotel is paramount level for selected clientele.
The hotel is adjacent to the slopes, and is also within walking distance of Vail's gourmet restaurants and famous shopping.
In order to preserve its treasured quietude, The Fabulous Vailglo Lodge does not accept groups. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, relaxed, and very quiet. The hotel caters to a very select clientele, which makes it all the more attractive for the individual or couple seeking a peaceful retreat. The Vailglo is, without question, one of the most unique lodging properties in Vail.
