Located mid-mountain at Deer Valley Resort, this intimate, elegant, yet friendly Austrian-style chalet is situated in an idyllic mountain setting with four-season beauty. The Hirsch's location offers ski-in, ski-out access in the winter and immediate access to mountain-biking in the summer. All other winter and summer sports, as well as Park City's shopping, theater, museums, restaurants, and galleries are minutes from the inn.

Chef James Dumas oversees the Goldener Hirsch Restaurant, which features superb Continental and American cuisine in an elegant, yet relaxed Austrian setting. The menu features Austrian specialties and nouveau American cuisine with French influences. In the winter, the lounge features an apres ski menu and live entertainment, and the restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the summer, dinner is served nightly.

The 20 guestrooms are uniquely decorated with hand-carved, hand-painted Austrian furniture. Inviting country prints grace the sofas, chairs, and draperies. All rooms feature king-sized beds with lush down comforters. Three suites have romantic king-size canopy beds. All rooms and suites are spacious, and most have private balconies and wood-burning fireplaces. All bathrooms throughout the hotel were recently renovated and feature the finest travertine tile showers, granite countertops and spa tubs.

The January 2002 issue of Ski magazine rated the Hirsch as one of “The 10 Best Small Hotels” for weekend escapes. Additional awards include Conde Nast Traveler's listing as one of their top 50 ski resort hotels plus The Hirsch is listed on their annual Gold List, and rated "Excellent" in Zagat's review of Spas, Hotels & Resorts.
