This unique lodge is set amidst the Tongass National Forest with most guestrooms overlooking the beautiful Deer Mountain. The gracious structure is complemented by the area's native Alaskan art, featuring a Totem screen carved by Nathan Jackson at the second floor mezzanine. Facing the front of the Lodge is a Totem circle with six totems carved by Tlingit carver Lee Wallace. Recently installed is a large artifact collection featuring Northwest Native Art.

High ceilings, vast window expanses and smooth pine create a natural, elegant setting which invites guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful island of Ketchikan. There are several well-maintained trails to hike, or guests may take the tram from the lobby to historic Creek Street. The library, with its large fireplace and assortment of books, is a delightful spot to linger.

Each large guestroom features either two doubles or one king bed with soft plaid comforters for a restful night's sleep. White pine furniture complements this cozy atmosphere. All the convenient amenities are included in each room. The suites, tucked up under the eaves of the main lodge on the third floor, give the feeling of being in the tree tops. They offer views of the Tongass Narrows and include a large living area with a couch. Suites are accented by local native art.

The Heen Kahidi Dining Room (which is Tlingit for Creek House) boasts a wall of floor to ceiling windows overlooking downtown, the marina and the Narrows. The dress code is casual but chef Timothy Frank creates a magnificent selection of locally caught Halibut and Salmon entrees. Of course, guests will have an ever lasting memory of the Mud Pie dessert. The Heen Kahidi Lounge serves up Blue Glacier Daiquiris as guests enjoy jazz music.

The combination of nature, art and luxury are unparalleled at the WestCoast Cape Fox Lodge. Guests are bound to return year after year.
