For untold generations, Hana has existed in splendid isolation and unspoiled beauty. It is considered one of the last true Hawaiian places. The legendary intimate Hotel Hana-Maui is known as "the world's most romantic hideaway," and is located in the exclusive, secluded, Hana area of the island of Maui.

The hotel reflects a wonderful blend of its Hawaiian heritage and the unspoiled beauty of Hana. The interior decor features colorful Kapa patterns throughout with fabric and finishing touches. Plantation ceiling fans whirl overhead. There are seventy separate accommodations including forty-seven sea ranch cottages with ocean and mountain views, many with private lanai spa tubs. Low rise bungalow style Bay Cottages feature spacious Junior Suites overlooking landscaped grounds. The luxurious bath rooms feature large soaking bathtubs and separate walk-in showers. Each bath is an enclosed private garden. To insure the privacy of the guests there are no radios, televisions or alarm clocks in the rooms.

The new intimate Honua Spa was recently named "Hawaii's Best New Spa" by the Luxury SpaFinders magazine. Here guests find a relaxing sanctuary that brings the indoor and outdoor spa experience together. There are nine treatment rooms including five massage suites, men and women's locker room, steam, cold plunge, outdoor showers, relaxation lounge, lava rock whirlpool overlooking Hana Bay. Full spa menu. We recommend guests book their treatments in advance of arrival.

The Hana area is rich in Hawaiian lore and replete with visitor opportunities. View the local botanical gardens, enjoy hiking trails in Waianapanapa State Park, Ohe'o Gulch and Hana Ranch. The sporting life is in full swing at this resort. Facilities include two swimming pools, tennis courts, a croquet lawn, and a well-equipped riding stable. Our Wellness Center features a fitness center.

The Hotel Hana-Maui Restaurant is a favorite meeting spot for guests and residents alike. The Paniola Lounge features local entertainment Thursdays thought Sundays.

To stay at Hotel Hana-Maui is to experience "the Hawaii that used to be."
