Sixty rooms and townhouse suites are nestled amid the 243 pristine acres. The buildings are of weathered cedar. Every room has a private balcony or patio, most with ocean views or canyon views. Some have private hot tubs. In-room amenities include a line of custom bath products and luxurious linens.
Ventana's four star restaurant, Cielo, is internationally acclaimed for its Mediteranean cuisine. Luncheon specialties include seared Ahi tuna with porcini mushrooms and green onions over whipped potatoes. Dinners include grilled prime New York Steak with local wild mushrooms and blue cheese potatoes gratin. The wine list is extensive, featuring outstanding regional California, French and German wines and champagnes.
The outdoor dining terrace offers a panoramic 50-mile vista of the Pacific, while the paneled cedar-and-glass dining room has both ocean and mountain views.
Among the recreation facilities available are a fully equipped exercise room, two 75-foot pools, bathhouses with Japanese hot baths, and a sauna. The Inn recently added a full-service spa. There is ample countryside for hiking, with easy access to beaches and State parks. |
