The historic Benbow Inn, built in 1926, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its distinctive Tudor architecture and beautiful setting has intrigued travelers over eight decades.

Completely renovated, all rooms are graced with antique furniture, fine prints, a basket of mystery novels and poetry, a decanter of sherry, coffee and teas. Each private bath has a basket of herbal soaps. All terrace rooms have private patios, antiques, televisions, WiFi, VCR's and CD players, some have fireplaces and one has a private Jacuzzi. The lobby and other common rooms are filled with antiques, paintings, needlepoint and objets d'art - a perfect setting for reading, games, puzzles, and delicious afternoon tea and scones.

Our beautiful, romantic and elegant dinning room, which offers fine cuisine and excellent wines, is light and airy with half timbering accents on white walls, Windsor chairs, fresh flowers and antique sideboards. French doors lead out to the Terrace dinning area where magnificent black oak trees shade lush flower and herb gardens. Our cozy lounge serves a full array of fine spirits, imported and domestic beers.

The Inn has been a designated AAA 4-Diamond property for 15 consecutive years, a recipient of the Wine Spectator Excellence Award for 8 years and voted "One of the Best Restaurants in the World for Wine Lovers" - Wine Spectator Magazine.

A beautiful challenging golf course graces the hillsides, and in the summer, refreshing waters from the Eel River create Lake Benbow, which invites swimming and river boating fun. Stroll along the river, go hiking, birding, fishing or cycling. Enjoy one of our many annual Special Events - Holiday Time at Benbow is spectacular!

Open all year, The Benbow Inn is a special, luxurious destination for romance... special occasions... and it's also a perfect setting for meetings and executive retreats.

Located in the heart of the Redwoods, The Benbow Inn's unique, enchanting atmosphere and gracious hospitality invites you to relax, renew, and savor life's pleasures.
