The Apple Farm Inn is an experience in traditional hospitality. Guests enjoy what will be remembered as "good old American" virtues: friendliness, cleanliness, honest value, homemade food and cozy rooms. The inn conveys country Victorian charm and provides modern conveniences and all the comforts of a luxury hotel.
The sunny, spacious octagon-shaped lobby is decorated with Ralph Lauren wicker furniture. It allows spectacular views of both the giant sycamores that grace the quiet banks of the San Luis Creek and the beautiful coastal mountains. Each guestroom features a gas-log fireplace and is uniquely appointed with canopy or enamel and brass beds, love seats and wingback chairs.
Service at the Apple Farm Inn is based on the philosophy of warm hospitality. Complimentary wake-up coffee, fresh flowers and plants in every room, three-sheet beds, remote control TVs and breakfast in bed with a newspaper are just some of the ways guests are pampered. Homemade food served with country charm describes the fare at the Apple Farm Restaurant. For dinner, American favorites like chicken and dumplings and turkey with dressing are featured. Fish entrees such as broiled orange roughy and baby salmon are also available. All entrees are served with cornbread and honey butter, and selections for the diet-conscious are available as well. The breakfast menu is extensive (all fresh-baked, of course). The lunch menu includes old favorites such as hot roast beef sandwiches, turkey pot pies, and freshly prepared salads.
The Apple Farm Gift Shop is an experience unto itself. Housed in an exact replica of a two-story country Victorian house, it offers a wide variety of items including decorative accessories, framed prints, glassware, kitchenware, toys, cards and books. The Apple Farm Brand products are the real draw of the shop--apple butter and spreads in canning jars, gift packages in miniature wooden crates, pressed cider and mulled cider spices--are only some of the items. Also worth a visit is The Old Millhouse. This is an operating gristmill with a 14-foot wheel, which harnesses water to power a cider press, grind wheat and make ice cream. |
