Blakes Hotel was created by Anouska Hempel, the London hotelier and internationally renowned designer. The hotel offers style, elegance and sensational service. Russian, India, Turkey, Colonial styles and Eastern European splendor, endless possibilities, the real essence of travel and history that can be breathed into each room. The 50 guestrooms are individually designed, and the color schemes daring, stunning and dramatic - black and mustard, rich cardinal reds, lavender, vanilla washes of tea rose and a room that is white on white.
The restaurant, Blakes, is as theatrical and imaginative as the rest of the hotel. The black walls, dramatic lighting, bamboo, and masses of cushions set the scene for a kitchen, which has a reputation for originality and skill. Feast on Blakes Blinis with golden caviar; Baked Sea Bass with crispy fennel skin; Szechwan Roasted Duck; or a simple Wild Mushroom Risotto. The carefully chosen wine list complements the eclectic menu.
