In the Baroque center of Salzburg - the city of Mozart and of world famous festivals - the Hotel Goldener Hirsch is testimony to half a millennium of European cultural heritage. A personal hotel, rich in tradition, we are situated just a short distance from Mozart's birthplace on Salzburg's main street, Getreidegasse. The hotel's history dates back at least as far as 1407, when it was first mentioned in a written document as an inn.
This warm and inviting hotel considers each guest a "friend of the house." You'll be warmly welcomed and happily served in a very special atmosphere of locally crafted furnishings and antique artwork. It's just part of the reason we were named one of the "Top 75 Hotels in Europe" by Condé Nast Traveler in 2005, to their 2005 and 2006 Gold Lists, and a 2004 Readers' Choice winner. Travel + Leisure magazine also named us one of the "World's Best" in 2004. |
