Set amidst Quebec's majestic Laurentian Mountains, La Pinsonniere is an oasis of calm and elegance with a European flair. Nestled among ancient cedars, high above the broad St. Lawrence River, the inn provides a sweeping view of the gorgeous Charlevoix region, a treasured UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. The graceful lines of this French country manor only hint at the luxury guests will discover inside. From the moment you enter the refined reception lobby, as you sip a "kir maison" in the stylish bar or relax in front of the stone fireplace in the sophisticated warmth of the living room, you will be welcomed and pampered by discrete, impeccably trained staff.

Many of La Pinsonniere's spacious guest rooms feature queen or king-sized beds, oversized whirlpool bathtubs, fireplaces and views of the St. Lawrence or the charming village of Cap-a-L'Aigle. Some of the grand deluxe rooms enjoy private access to the main terrace, while others boast a private sauna or turret. And then, there is Room 312! This premium deluxe suite has a king-sized bed, fireplace, sofa-bed, oversized whirlpool, sauna, multi-jet shower, a small private balcony and a stunning view of the water. All rooms include private bathrooms, hair dryer, luxurious terry-cloth robes, duvets, cable television, ceiling fans and air-conditioners.

Dining at La Pinsonniere is magical. Gleaming wood, crisp white linen, sparkling stemware and china, glowing candlelight and soft colors set the stage for the evening in the recently expanded and renovated dining room. The inn's award-winning chef creates gourmet cuisine for the most discriminating palates, using local ingredients and creative presentations. In addition to its sumptuous cuisine, La Pinsonniere boasts an amazing collection of superb wines. Wine tastings are available upon request in the grotto wine cellar.

The inn's mini-spa provides a serene escape, with everything from a heavenly four-hand massage, to mineral mud hand or foot treatments, algae body wraps and facial care. There is also an indoor pool and an outdoor tennis court. From the tennis court, guests can meander down a steep staircase to a secluded rocky beach for a private picnic.
