Built in 1906 with the ingenuity of a Chicago-based architect, the Rosedon Hotel was created with quality and longevity in mind. The walls of the original structure were built double thickness and furred to prevent any dampness from seeping through. The woods were all imported-pine, oak, cherry, mahogany, and California redwood. The pillars in the entrance hall were specially carved and imported from Chicago. After many years of renovation and expansion, this truly elegant Victorian hotel offers guests the opportunity to experience Old English and Bermudan charm with a touch of tradition.
Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, Rosedon offers forty-seven guestrooms individually decorated with traditional English and island flair. Luxurious curtains in tropical designs offset creamy shades of peach, pink, blue and ivory. The furnishings, including over-sized beds, delicate nightstands, large dressers and living room pieces, are the perfect combination of elegance and comfort. All rooms come complete with a luxurious private bath, individual climate control, television, telephone, radio, coffee maker, mini-bar, ceiling fan, wall safe, hairdryer and iron.
